(We know. We're surprised too.)
Elisabeth Eden has been a professional photographer for nearly two decades — self-taught, self-propelled, and completely obsessed with the craft. Her work has taken her from Lululemon and Wayfair to the pages of People and Vogue. (A picnic photo if you're curious. Very her.)
But kids and families never left the frame. So in 2023, Petite Portraits opened its (very cute) doors as the dedicated home for all of it.
Elisabeth is a mom of four ranging from eight months to nearly twelve. At any given moment someone is nursing, someone is 3D printing a fidget toy, and the girl of the fam is probably celebrating her many unicorns' birthdays. Elisabeth homeschools, has never nailed latte art, and has been known to carefully curate an entirely organic, gluten-free grocery haul and then stop for Culver's flavor of the day on the way home. It's called balance.
Her husband has been her partner in all of it for nearly 14 years — including hauling furniture, patching walls, and every other boy job that comes with running a real studio space. The studio would not be as cute as it is without him, and we love him for it.
She also shoots brand and commercial work over at Elisabeth Eden — because apparently she thrives on variety, all while someone asks her a question from the other room.
If it sounds like she understands the assignment, it's possible she secretly dreads her own family photos too.
I built this to be what I'd want for my own four kids. Not a whole afternoon. Not three outfit changes. Not a countdown to a meltdown.
Fifteen minutes, real personality, and everyone's out the door before anyone asks for a snack. That's it. That's the whole plan.
If it sounds almost too simple, that's on purpose.
Simple is what makes this the easiest yes on your whole calendar.
