Before you book
How do I book a session?
All sessions are available to book directly online. No inquiry form, no back and forth. Pick a date, pay your deposit, and you're in.
Do you offer sessions for all ages?
We photograph kids six months and up. Basically, once they can sit on a lap or hold themselves up, they're ready for us. Toddlers, school-age kids with strong opinions about their outfit, all of it. We love them all.
Is there a deposit required?
Yes. A deposit is due at booking to hold your spot, with the remaining balance due the day of your session. It's fully automated, so there's nothing to remember.
GETTING READY
What should my kids wear?
Wear whatever they love that day! A favorite shirt is more than enough. (Want extra guidance? Our styling closet is coming soon too.)
How do I prepare my kids for their session?
Honestly? You don't have to do much. Keep the day low-key beforehand. Well rested, well fed, and with zero pressure placed on "being good for pictures." Just tell them you're going somewhere fun. We'll take it from there.
What if my child has never done a professional session before?
Perfect! There's nothing to unlearn. Kids who haven't been coached to pose are often our absolute favorite subjects because they haven't learned to be self-conscious yet.
Can I bring props or special items?
Yes and we love when families do this. A favorite stuffed animal, a beloved book, a special blanket... these details make photos feel personal and give kids something familiar to hold onto during the warm-up phase.
AT THE SESSION
What if my kid won't cooperate?
Even in fifteen minutes, we build in room for a giggle fit, a wardrobe malfunction, or a full meltdown. We've never left a session without something worth framing. Not once.
Can I stay in the room during the session?
Yes! And for little ones especially, having a parent nearby makes a huge difference. Sometimes kids perform better when mom or dad takes a small step back, but we'll give you a read on what's working and guide you through it together.
Can parents be in the photos?
These sessions are all about your kids but if you've got more than one, we'll grab a shot of them together too. Parents are welcome nearby to help little ones feel comfortable, just not in front of the lens for this one.

Do you work with children with sensory needs or special considerations?
Absolutely, and we're so glad you asked. Please let us know before your session if your child has any sensory sensitivities or specific needs. The more we know going in, the better we can set everyone up for a genuinely great experience. No extra charge, no judgment. Just a little extra preparation and a whole lot of care.
AFTER THE SESSION
When will I receive my photos?
Your gallery arrives in about a week. You'll receive a link to an online gallery where you can browse, download, and order prints directly.
How many photos will I receive?
Every session includes 10 digitally edited images, a mix of black & white and color, ready to print or frame. Want more? Additional images are available to purchase, and honestly, most people do.
Can I purchase the full gallery?
We actually have a little something special for you on that front. Keep an eye on your gallery delivery email for a fun bonus offer. We think you'll love it.
Do you offer prints and wall art?
Yes! Print products including wall art and prints are available to order directly through your gallery. Phones get lost. Walls are forever.
Can I share my photos on social media?
Please do, and tag us when you do! Seeing your family's gallery out in the wild genuinely makes our whole day. We just ask that you don't apply heavy filters that alter the editing.
LOCATIONS AND LOGISTICS
Where are you located?
Our home base studio is a historic loft in downtown Fargo, North Dakota. Exposed brick, gorgeous natural light, and views of the landmark train station clock tower. We also offer seasonal sessions along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Gulf Coast availability is limited and announced in advance. Contact us for dates.
Do you offer outdoor sessions?
All sessions are studio-based in our Fargo loft, which keeps things quick and simple for everyone. We offer a limited number of outdoor sessions per year to our coastal Mississippi families. Reach out through the contact page to ask about availability.
What is your rescheduling policy?
Life with kids is wonderfully unpredictable and we get it. Reschedules are available with advance notice and subject to availability. We just ask for as much notice as possible so we can offer your spot to another family.
How do I stay updated on Gulf Coast sessions and Pop-Ups?
